    The Harrison "Bill" Smith Legacy in Civic Engagement Forum: Featuring Guy Worley, CEO and president of Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and Capitol South Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation, Brian Ross, CEO of Experience Columbus, Doug Kridler, CEO of The Columbus Foundation, Michael B. Coleman, Mayor of Columbus. The "Smithy" Award will be awarded by the Columbus Downtown Commission in recognition of an outstanding development project.

    The quickly rising genre of cartoons as serious literature and fine art in the form of graphic novels and other media has a deep pedigree here in Cbus…  all the more reason the inaugural Cartoon Crossroads Columbus event in October may grow to be a blockbuster for the medium and the city. Featuring Lucy Caswell, professor emeritus Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum; Jeff Smith, Cartoonist; Tom Spurgeon, editor The Comics Reporter. Sherri Geldin, director of the Wexner Center, will host.

    Travis Hoewischer, editor of 614 Magazine will host Brady Konya of Middle West Spirits, nationally acclaimed mixologist Cris Dehlavi of "M". Demonstrating their art will be: Garry White, mixologist and owner of Denmark on High, and Rebecca Monday, mixologist at Curio, as well as others representing multiple Cbus hotspots in a celebration of the business and the artistry of liquor and mixed drinks.  Come early for demonstrations and samples of the best cocktails in Cbus by the top bartenders in town.
